INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 sleeve saltine crackers
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • sea salt

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  2. Grease a 9" x 13" pan and lay saltine crackers down without overlapping. Break some in half to fit the full width/height if needed. Set aside

  3. In a small pot, heat butter and brown sugar together, stirring frequently. Bring to a boil and let boil for about two minutes, stirring constantly.

  4. Gently pour over the saltine crackers and spread using the back of a spatula until all the crackers are coated.

  5. Bake for 5 minutes or until the mixture is bubbly.

  6. Remove from oven and immediately spread the chocolate chips over the hot crackers. Let this sit for about 4-5 minutes. Once, the chocolate chips are heated, spread the chocolate over the crackers with an offset spatula. Sprinkle with sea salt.

  7. Pop the pan into the freezer for about 30 minutes and then break it apart for a rustic look or cut it into squares. Store in the freezer.
