There is nothing better or easier than a quick casserole that you can toss together in a matter of minutes. One of our favourite meals is pizza, always pizza, so it only seems natural to turn pizza into a casserole. Supreme Pizza Pasta Casserole combines all your favourite pizza toppings with delicious rotini pasta. An easy weeknight dish that leaves the whole family begging for more.
My son likes helping with the pizza toppings when we make pizzas. That’s sort of his job. I was expecting him to be a little disappointed when I started putting all the toppings into the bowl, but to my surprise, he was excited. Sneaking a few pepperoni slices as I mixed. And both our boys devoured their plates, our oldest asking for seconds for him and his 19 month old brother!
I use rotini noodles so that the pizza sauce really coats each noodle. I added my favourite toppings. But that’s the beauty of this casserole, you can switch up the toppings and create a new version over and over. The cheese is essential, and go ahead and add a little extra, if you feel like. Is there ever enough cheese?
Whatever toppings or pasta you choose, it’ll still be a delicious dish. Layers of pizza flavours, perfect pasta and lots of cheese! The best part of this dish, besides the family singing your praises, is that it comes together fairly quickly. Perfect for a weeknight!
How to make Supreme Pizza Pasta Casserole
This recipe is easy. I know I say that for just about every recipe I share. I’m going to have to find some new way to describe simple dishes, but I guess that’s my thing. And really who couldn’t use an extra easy recipe in their arsenal?
Start by boiling the rotini pasta (or whatever pasta you like best), drain and rinse the noodles in cold water. Next, brown the ground beef along with the onions. Toss that on top of the pasta and then add in the chopped vegetables, pepperoni and spices. Mix everything together and then scoop into a 9″ x 13″ casserole dish and top with cheese. Bake until heated through and the cheese is melted.
One of the easiest dishes we’ve had in our house. I’m all about the pizza flavours and this one was loved by everyone! There was not one picky eater at dinner when this was served. It’s been added to our meal rotation, and makes enough for extra leftovers or to serve a hungry crowd! Give this one a try today!
