Who is pantry surfing these next two weeks? Did you manage to scrounge together a few meal ideas while shopping the bare aisles in the grocery stores? I think the current world situation has everyone stunned, to say the least. I’ve been trying to stay away from the media today, so this morning my three-year-old and I made this super easy Two Ingredient Beer Bread. And we wanted to share it in case you need an easy recipe to hold you over until the stores restock.

I wasn’t expecting much when we whipped this up this morning. Two ingredients didn’t seem like it would produce a very tasty bread. BUT, I was so wrong! This bread is good, way better than I expected! The crust is chewy, while the insides are soft and moist. It’s delicious! It took mere minutes to create the dough and less than an hour to bake it.

HOW TO MAKE Two Ingredient Beer Bread

INGREDIENTS

Optional: butter to brush on the top crust

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Mix together the flour and beer until fully combined.
  3. Spread the dough into a greased bread loaf pan.
  4. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the top is golden and the sides pull away from the edges of the pan.
  5. Let the bread cool completely before slicing.

Toasted, this bread is a great side to any one of those cans of soup, you hopefully managed to stock up on. Or spread a bit of peanut butter on it along with a fried egg and start your morning off on the right foot! However you decide to use it, I’m sure you’ll be happy for a simple, tasty bread that’s light on ingredients!
