French Onion Rice is a delicious twist on regular rice. With a two extra ingredients transform your weekly side dish from ho hum to extraordinary. It's a favourite in our home.
Start by rinsing the rice until the water runs clear.
In a medium sauce pan, stir together all of the ingredients except two tablespoons of butter. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to minimum and let cook for approximately 20 minutes or more if needed.
Once cooked, fluff with fork and mix in remaining butter. Serve hot.
