French Fry Board

Move over charcuterie, french fry boards may just be the new trend. Different fries along with multple dipping sauces makes for one delicious and fun appetizer for all ages.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 bag of six different fries (curly, regular, seasoned, waffle, crinckle cut, sweet potato, wedges)

Barbecue Sauce

  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp prepared mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Sriracha Spiced Mayo

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha chili sauce
  • 1 tsp lime juice
  • 1/8 tsp onion powder

Hot Mustard Sauce

  • 1/4 cup spicy brown mustard
  • 2 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp corn syrup
  • 2 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar

House Dip

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tbsp dill weed
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper

Other Dipping Sauces

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup vinegar, malt or regular
  • 1 pckg green peppercorn gravy

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. A couple hours or the day before you plan to serve your french fry board, make all your dips, except the gravy.

Barbecue Sauce

  1. Saute onions until soft, add remaining ingredients and let simmer for 15 minutes. Cool and store in the fridge.

Sriracha Spiced Mayo, Hot Mustard Sauce, House Dip

  1. Stir together all respective ingredients, store in an airtight container in the fridge.

French Fry Board Assembly

  1. Cook the french fries according the package directions. Keeping similar temperatures/times together on the same pan. You'll likely use more than one pan to bake all the french fries.

  2. While the fries are baking. Make the gravy according to package directions.

  3. Spoon dips into very small bowls for serving.

  4. When the fries are done, push them into sections on one of the hot pans, nestle the dips amongst the french fries. Serve immediately. Make sure to warn your guests that the board may be hot. Wrap the pan's edges with extra tea towels to prevent any burns.
