Loaded Egg in a Hole
I go through spurts and starts with the Food Network. There will be weeks where I binge-watch as much food-related tv as I can stand and then nothing for months. I went through one of those bouts a few months back. It was a competition show where on one episode two of the contestants both made a version of eggs in a hole and I knew I needed to share my favourite recipe for Loaded Egg in a Hole.

Family Irish Bread
Anytime my aunt is comes to town, fresh Family Irish Bread, is a guarantee. She bakes loaves of it and it is amazing, as is she, amazing that is! Call this a bit of an ode to Ele (my aunt). My aunt drops everything and comes to the rescue of any of her family members, especially her nieces and nephews. In fact, she flew to Georgia for a month-long visit to watch our toddler while I was in labour…

Grandma’s Weekend White Bread
I had something else planned to write about this week, but when I finally perfected this recipe. I knew I had to share. Grandma's Weekend White Bread is the version my mom and I came up with when we decided to tackle my Grandma's cryptic recipe. You see, the hand-written recipe card was missing instructions and quantities. Making this recipe a bit of challenge, but a fun project for my mom and me.

Kicked up Avocado Toast
Hi friends! Today's recipe is a happy little marriage between breakfast and appetizers. Kicked Up Avocado Toast is a quick guacamole piled high on tangy sourdough topped with a couple fried eggs and it all comes together quickly and the flavors are unreal. The richness from the butter on the fried eggs cuts through the hint of citrus in the fresh guacamole and will knock your socks off. It's breakfast heaven and may just be my new favourite, quick-fix breakfast.
