I was craving caramel today, but I’ve never made caramel sauce from scratch and frankly, today was not the day I was going to start. I wanted an easy Caramel Dipping Sauce. One that I could whip up relatively quickly and would be thick and gooey and perfectly caramel-y. Then it dawned on me, I do have a quick caramel sauce and it’s soo good!

Look what I found in my pantry! Two ingredients are all this easy Caramel Dipping Sauce takes. Kraft caramels and evaporated milk combine to create a craveable thick, gooey caramel perfect for apples, grapes, pretzels or even scooped over ice cream!

There’s a layer of caramel in Surprise Turtle Cheesecake that is delicious and it’s everything you want in a caramel sauce. It’s slightly thick and would make an incredible dip for apples, pretzels or even poured over ice cream. So, that’s exactly what I did. Two ingredients, because, it is #twoingredienttuesday. Kraft caramels and evaporated milk combine to create this totally craveable sauce that can and should be used in as many ways possible.

How to make Caramel Dipping Sauce

Ingredients

  • 11 oz. bag of Kraft caramels
  • 3/4 cup evaporated milk

Instructions

  1. In a small, heavy-bottomed saucepan melt the unwrapped caramels and evaporated milk together. Stirring occasionally until the caramels are fully melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  2. Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container.
