• I'm interrupting winter to bring you a sweet summer treat. One that you can make any time of year. I learned how to make Cabin Tea years ago from my bestie's mother in law. Two ingredients are all it takes and you'll be swept right back to those nostalgic warm summer afternoons.

    Cabin Tea (two-ingredients)

I've known my best friend's husband for decades longer than she has. My best friend, Edith, and I grew up in the same town, so how is this possible you ask? Well, his grandparents and my grandparents had cabins on opposite sides of an island on the lake that surrounds my home town. So Matthew (my bestie's husband) and I spent plenty of time together over the years when his family and his cousins would travel up north to visit. On one visit, his mom taught me how to make this easy Cabin Tea.

  • Super Bowl is in a week, are you game day ready? Make sure your party is the best yet by serving Cheesy Chili Dog Dip. It's just what it sounds like. Two favourites, chili dogs and cheese, all baked into a delicious dip and then topped with onions and fresh tomatoes for an unbeatable win! Not a sports fan, no problem, this snack is universally loved!

    Cheesy Chili Dog Dip

So, us bloggers (it's so weird to call myself that because I still feel like such a newbie, even after a year) will plan recipes based on upcoming events, holidays, etc. So, with the Super Bowl right around the corner, it feels totally appropriate to introduce you to this party-worthy Cheesy Chili Dog Dip. It's exactly what it sounds like and oh so good!

  • Be healthy...Tomorrow! Crispy Chicken Barbecue Salad is a full dinner! This entree salad is loaded with flavour! Ranch dressing and barbecue sauce coats chicken bites or tenders along with bacon and hard-boiled eggs. There's also black beans and corn and a few other gems. This is NOT diet food, this is your next weeknight meal!

    Crispy Chicken Barbecue Salad

I rarely get a salad at a restaurant and I don't know why. If you've been following along, you know that I'm not the biggest fan of the green stuff, but then am I? The scarce time I do order a salad I always love it, so what really is my problem? Is it because they take extra work, all those veggies that need chopping? Is it because there's probably something else on the menu I'd rather eat? That's probably the real reason. But years ago I had a Crispy Chicken Barbecue Salad and I still think about it, it was good.

  • STOP roasting beets! And don't bother pickling them. I have your new favourite recipe right here! And all it takes is two ingredients!! Hot Vinegar Pan-Fried Beets are the only recipe you will ever need. Boiled and then pan-fried and finished with a drizzle of vinegar creates the tastiest side for all of your meat & potato style meals. Not to mention you can add them to salads, bowls, etc. OR eat them straight up just like me!

Hot Vinegar Pan-Fried Beets (Two ingredients)

Hot Vinegar Pan-Fried Beets may seem a little misleading. These beets are not spicy at all. I just mean hot as in temperature and vinegar as vinegar not pickled. I see a lot of recipes for pickled beets, but this is not that. This is one of my favourite side dish recipes EVER. I've always loved these beets. This is how we grew up eating this pretty red vegetable. And let me tell you this was one side I NEVER skipped and for a young kid, that's saying a lot.

  • Putting this out into the universe for all of my friends and family fighting through mountains of snow! This Classic Hamburger Vegetable Soup, it's so comforting and cozy. After shovelling all that snow, you'll want this soup! Just like Grandma used to make, it's packed full of vegetables and just the perfect amount of seasoning. A must this time of year!

    Classic Hamburger Vegetable Soup

This recipe is my grandma's best friend Evie's Classic Hamburger Vegetable Soup and it's everything you think of when you think of Grandma's cooking. It's so comforting and feels like you've just walked through her front door. Just like Grandma made it, this soup is loaded with veggies and full of flavour and will have you coming back for seconds, trust me.

  • Need a recipe that will erase all your bad habits? Me too, but in the meantime these Spinach and Feta Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes come super close. This is always my go-to recipe when I decide to get healthy. ALWAYS. It's filling, tasty and super easy! Scrambled eggs with sauteed spinach, salty feta and bright fresh tomatoes to balance every single bite.

Spinach and Feta Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes

There's a little coffee shop in the city across the river from my hometown. The shop was owned by a family friend and was definitely the hot spot in town when it opened. We'd hang out there after school drinking their version of a frappucino. And on Saturdays, we'd head over the border to get Spinach and Feta Scrambled Eggs with Tomatoes. It was the best way to start the weekend.

  • Two Ingredient Tuesday just got a little sweeter with this fun twist on the classic donut. Using puff pastry and a bit of cinnamon sugar spice these Easy Cinnamon Sugar Cronuts are a tasty and quick treat. Light and airy with that recognizable crispy exterior, you might want to make extras, my son's been bugging me for more ever since that first bite.

Easy Cinnamon Sugar Cronuts (Two Ingredients)

Finding two-ingredient recipes can get a little tricky. I can go the easy route and give you dips and simple fudges, but eventually, we'd both get tired of that. I want new ideas, things I haven't tried, things that intrigue me. You're with me, right? So, I spend a lot of time searching for ideas. This weeks recipe started out as sausage rolls but then took a hard left turn and became Easy Cinnamon Sugar Cronuts

  • I HATE January with all its Diet food! That is until I made this Sheet Pan Fajita Shrimp. Holy. All. Things. Good. THIS is tasty food! With just a hint of spice, this super easy healthy recipe will quickly become a favourite. The flavours are on point and the ease of a sheet pan meal for dinner is always a winner!

    Sheet Pan Fajita Shrimp

Ugh, it's diet season and I'm on one! Are you? I know, I know, it's supposed to be a lifestyle change, but that would imply I want to do this forever and frankly, I don't. I want this diet to end and I want to eat good tasting foods again! Diet food leaves me hungry, craving more and downright miserable. That is until I made Sheet Pan Fajita Shrimp and totally fell in love with this tasty diet-friendly dish!

  • Pineapple and Ham Hawaiian Sliders are the perfect easy appetizer. Layers of shaved ham, gooey, melted mozzarella & sweet pineapple slices are nestled on soft Hawaiian dinner rolls are bathed in a rich butter sauce. The best part is the crispy caramelized bottoms on the rolls making these totally irresistible. Give these a try at your next party, but make extras because these mini sandwiches are well-loved and won't survive a crowd, trust me!

    Pineapple and Ham Hawaiian Sliders

I remember the first time I had one of those famous sliders that have been all over Pinterest in the last few years. It was at a party my folks were throwing right after Christmas. One of their friends came with a panful of these tasty mini sandwiches. I took one, had a bite and then realized there probably wasn't enough for everyone and I should've shared. But at that very moment, the flavours hit my tongue, and I ceased to care. It was so good! I've thought about that slider quite a few times over the years. And so, I decided…

  • The recipe that STARTED it all! Two Ingredient Tuesdays that is. This recipe for Min-Tea Hot Chocolate is so simple. White hot chocolate mixed with peppermint tea. I like to think I'm getting all the health benefits of tea but indulging in a tasty treat. My new go-to when I want something cozy and warm.

    Min-Tea Hot Chocolate (Two Ingredient)

So, I thought I'd share the recipe that started the whole two-ingredient Tuesdays series. My cousin, Chantelle, had actually mentioned this was her new must-have drink and as soon as she typed in the ingredients I knew I was going to love Min-Tea Hot Chocolate, too!
