HOW TO MAKE Easy CINNAMON Sugar Cronuts

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry (this will make about eight cronuts)
  • cinnamon sugar for dusting

You’ll also need water to glue the rounds together and oil for frying.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heat about two inches of oil in a medium pot.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry a bit larger using a rolling pin. Cut out circles about 2-2.5″ in diameter. You’ll end up with about 16 circles.
  3. Rub a bit of water over the top of one of the puff pastry circles and top with a second circle of pastry. Do this with all the circles. You will end up with eight cronuts. Next, cut a hole out of the middle of each cronut using an apple corer, or something similar.
  4. Once the oil is ready, gently drop in a cronut and let it cook for about five minutes or until golden brown and puffed up. Flip the cronut several times while it’s cooking. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  5. Roll hot cronut in the cinnamon sugar spice.
  6. Repeat for all eight cronuts.
