• Cheesy, crunchy and savoury are all the things a delicious handheld breakfast should be, am I right!? This Tater Tot and Bacon Breakfast Quesadilla is no exception, packed full of morning favourites, this easy recipe will have you eager to get up and cook for the whole family!

Tater Tot and Bacon Breakfast Quesadillas

Has anyone else been feeling a little lost with the state of the world right now? We've been very fortunate and really have zero reasons to complain, but I find myself in a total funk and I just can't shake it. I haven't had any desire to cook or blog and I've put on way too many pandemic pounds! BUT this past weekend was great and it started with Tater Tot and Bacon Breakfast Quesadillas. Nothing special happened but it just felt like we turned a corner!

  • I don't want to get JALAPEÑO business, but what are you serving at your next gathering? Might I suggest these Peach Jalapeño Popper Pinwheels. The perfect sweet/savoury snack. Classic jalapeño popper flavours combined with bacon and sweet peach jam for a delicious appetizer. Add these to your next party menu. I promise no one will complain.

    Peach Jalapeño Popper Pinwheels

Craveable. Delicious. Sweet. Savoury. Snack-sized. These Peach Jalapeño Popper Pinwheels are all of those statements. My favourite, though, isn't listed and that's that they are so so easy. These little appetizers pack tons of flavour in one super-simple package. A must for your next small gathering (COVID be damned) but that's ok, a handful of people could happily demolish this treat in just a few minutes.

  • This needs no introduction, if you've been a fan of Masterchef, you'll remember the episode when a burger scored an apron. The secret ingredient? Lemon Pepper Bacon. The tangy lemon flavour along with the savoury bacon and freshly ground pepper takes this to a whole new level. Try it on a BLT it's amazing. Highly recommended, make it now!

Lemon Pepper Bacon and a BLT

When I suggested this to my husband his eyes lit up. I mean lemon pepper bacon, was the one ingredient on Noah Sim's (a Masterchef Season 10 contestant) legendary burger that Joe Bastianich couldn't get enough. So, obviously I would spend the next year thinking about that bacon before I finally gave Lemon Pepper Bacon and a BLT a try.

  • Who else craves warm gooey cheese dips when the temperature drops? Bacon Cheddar Canoe Dip is the best way to warm up on a cold night. Cozy, comfort food, that's loaded with bacon and cream cheese, a bit of dill and garlic, tasty cheddar cheese and is served in a canoe-shaped bread loaf. A must this winter season!

    Bacon Cheddar Canoe Dip

I wasn't going to share this dip. I have my favourite hot dip already on here. Hot Cheesy Spinach Dip is truly my go-to dip, but then I started craving bacon and warm gooey cream cheese loaded with dill and garlic and extra melty cheddar with bread to dip. I think this time of year always makes me want hot snacks and this Bacon Cheddar Canoe Dip is perfect for that. And besides who couldn't use another craveable dip in their repertoire?

  • No boring salads here! Jim n Nick's Copycat Pulled Pork Salad is just like the original. Seeing as I only ever order this salad (and extra cheese biscuit) I knew I had to recreate this at home. It's loaded with pulled pork, bacon and cheese. But it doesn't stop there add in fresh tomatoes, cucumber, toasted almonds and homemade croutons and you've got a salad that doubles as a full meal!

Jim n Nick’s Copycat Pulled Pork Salad

Ok, I know I said no more salads, well at least in my mind I did! I had all intentions of taking a break from the green stuff. I've been making salads left and right and it feels like every new salad creation is just a little better than the last one. And I'm pretty sure this Jim n Nick's Copycat Pulled Pork Salad might just be the best one yet.

  • Be healthy...Tomorrow! Crispy Chicken Barbecue Salad is a full dinner! This entree salad is loaded with flavour! Ranch dressing and barbecue sauce coats chicken bites or tenders along with bacon and hard-boiled eggs. There's also black beans and corn and a few other gems. This is NOT diet food, this is your next weeknight meal!

    Crispy Chicken Barbecue Salad

I rarely get a salad at a restaurant and I don't know why. If you've been following along, you know that I'm not the biggest fan of the green stuff, but then am I? The scarce time I do order a salad I always love it, so what really is my problem? Is it because they take extra work, all those veggies that need chopping? Is it because there's probably something else on the menu I'd rather eat? That's probably the real reason. But years ago I had a Crispy Chicken Barbecue Salad and I still think about it, it was good.

  • Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Olives is an easy two-ingredient recipe that comes together with minimal effort and tastes so good even the haters will devour these! Trust me, I'm one of them. I've never been a fan. I'd take pickles over olives any day. But today give me ALL the Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Olives, cause these little snacks are total winners!

    Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Olives (Two-Ingredients)

These Bacon Wrapped Stuffed Olives were my backup plan. I was sure the original recipe I had in my mind for today's post was going to be good, so I didn't bother really planning ahead. I was so sure in fact, that I created said recipe yesterday and then panicked when it didn't turn out the way I expected. It was good, but when I popped one of these olives into my mouth, I knew this one was the winner.

  • My three year old dissed my amazing spaghetti sauce for this Feta, Tomato & Toasted Nut Salad. Seriously, if a kid chooses salad over carbs, you know it has to be a good one. I've added bacon, cause well, bacon! And serve it with a drizzle of your favourite salad dressing and you've got an easy dish that will show up repeatedly on your dinner table.

Feta & Tomato Salad with Toasted Nuts

I like to think of this as a winter salad because of the festive colours, or maybe because we've nicknamed it Snowball Salad, but really you could serve it any time of year. This tasty Feta & Tomato Salad with Toasted Nuts is a recipe that my auntie Ele made, literally just once, and I fell in love with it. I'm not a salad lover. To be honest, I don't make it often, but with all those impending resolutions creeping up, that may have to change. Snowball Salad will be making an appearance on our meal rotation.

  • The best game day appetizer according to my husband. These Game Day Bacon Hand Pies check all the boxes. Finger food. Flaky pie crust. Cream cheese and bacon mixed with spices. They'll be a winner at your next game day guaranteed!

    Game Day Bacon Hand Pies

The Super Bowl is right around the corner, literally. We live just outside of Atlanta and the city is alive. Everywhere you look it's football, it definitely gets you into the spirit of things. This year we'll be enjoying the big game from the comforts of our living room.
