White Chocolate Christmas Candy

White Chocolate Christmas Candy is a must over the holidays. With 3 ingredients & less than 5 minutes, you can have one sweet treat crossed off your list. These never last long and you're guaranteed someone will ask for the recipe, then be totally shocked at the easy recipe. Cereal, heath bits and white chocolate are all it takes. You may know this as trash, crack, snack mix, the good stuff, but no matter what you call it, I think we can all agree, it's addictive.

In our family, there are multiple names that this sweet treat goes by. Auntie Cath’s Christmas cereal stuff, the good stuff, Christmas crack (because it’s ridiculously addictive), and now I’m renaming it White Chocolate Christmas Candy. But I’ve also seen it called trash, clusters, and snack mix. The list goes on, but the one thing, I think we all can agree on, is that this snack is a must-every holiday season.

This one always screams Christmas to me, or at least the holiday season. My cousin Chantelle married her husband Matt over a decade ago, right before new year’s and this is when my aunt broke out this recipe. I’m not sure how long she’s been making this for, but I’m ever grateful to my cousin for her December 30th wedding and all the celebrating, which means food in this family, that ensued.

The next day (new year’s eve), we were treated to a carolling sleigh ride. Coolest new year’s eve ever! We rode through their neighbourhood on a horse-drawn sleigh, belting out tunes at the top of our lungs, while my little cousin ran ahead ringing doorbells. It was freezing out, but we returned to a smorgasbord of food and fun, that made the cold well worth it!

My aunt and cousins must have needed some quick and easy recipes to keep our food-loving family well-fed over that long weekend. And with only three ingredients this one comes together in a flash. In less than five minutes, you can have this all mixed together. Then, it’s just a matter of a few more minutes so everything can set.

How to make White Chocolate Christmas Candy

If you’ve been around here in the last couple of weeks, you’ll know with your encouragement, I’ve deiced to do a two-ingredient Tuesday series. What does this mean? Every Tuesday, I’ll be posting a two-ingredient recipe that I’m excited about. I’ve tried a few in the last couple of weeks that just don’t cut it! So, if it’s on the site, please know my family approves! I promise I won’t post something that I don’t love.

This recipe may be one ingredient over the Tuesday limit, but it really should be posted with the easy stuff, because, well, it is! You could do this with your eyes shut. I revisited my aunt’s recipe so that this is even easier. It’s one box of Golden Graham cereal, two bags of white candy melts (thank you Michael’s doorbusters!) and a bag of Heath bits of brickle. I love a recipe where you don’t have to break out the measuring cups.

Start by melting the candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals. It took my microwave about 2 minutes to melt them all, but my microwave is like the sun, I swear! So, know your microwave here! Once it’s all melted, stir in the cereal and the heath bits. Once fairly coated, pour this out onto waxed paper and leave it to set. When it’s set, break it apart into small pieces. For a special treat, store it in the freezer.

This one is sooo easy. I literally whipped this together on my break today. I tucked the boys into bed for their naps. Well, the little guy, my oldest has quiet time but rarely sleeps. Then I made this recipe in less than five minutes and was back to work, diving into my next design project. Seriously, if you need an easy and quick recipe, that will have everyone asking for the recipe, this is it!

My girlfriend made this crack with chopped cashews instead of the toffee bits. When I looked up the recipe, I found your Christmas candy version, and let’s just say my family had Christmas in July! 😊 This was so good and so easy to make! It’s a toss up if I prefer chashews or toffee, both are really good!
