• Fire up the grill asap! This Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken is so easy and packed with flavour. A simple marinade that creates a mouth-watering chicken. One you may not be able to get enough of! Delicious by itself, amazing on top of a fresh salad.

    Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken

Barbecue season is here! Finally! I feel like I've been cooped up for months. We are still not venturing too far past our little backyard, but just grilling a meal on the barbecue makes me feel like it's a step outside our kitchen and a new environment. And this Lemon Pepper Grilled Chicken is the perfect meal to share on the patio.

  • Stacks on stacks on stacks! This Blueberry Buttermilk Pancake recipe makes a ton of fluffy, light pancakes. They freeze like a dream and are loaded with pops of fruit flavour. A must for the weekend, but even better, save the leftovers to pop in the toaster and enjoy a gourmet meal any day of the week!

    Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes

Pancakes are a treat, right? I feel like they're reserved for special weekends. A lazy day when you can take your time making breakfast. I haven’t used a boxed version in quite a while, I always forget to buy those. So, from scratch is my mode. Last weekend I was craving Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes. I decided to tweak a recipe I was gift years ago and it was so easy and sooo good!

  • Summer Sweets are on deck! Have you ever grilled fruit? It's one of my favourite ways to serve fruit in the summer. Maple Grilled Pineapple Slices with only two ingredients makes for a quick and easy sweet treat. Serve it with a big scoop of ice cream!

Maple Grilled Pineapple Slices (Two Ingredients)

The first time I made this, it was on a whim. I was at the cabin and my folks were grilling something on the barbecue, I don't exactly remember what, but I do remember these Maple Grilled Pineapple Slices. It's a super simple recipe with only two ingredients, so it's pretty hard to forget. But beyond being super easy, it's an incredible summer dessert, top it with a bit of ice cream and it's amazing!

  • Hey Cutie Pie, Got plans for the first? This Chocolate Raspberry Cream Pie (aka Canada Pie) is perfect for the upcoming national holiday. To my American friends, feel free to borrow it for the fourth, too! A freshly made raspberry jam, a layer of fluffy cream cheese and a chocolate topping create the perfect holiday bite, on a warm summer day.

Chocolate Raspberry Cream Pie (Canada Pie)

Who else is ready for backyard barbecues and cold summer desserts? Last summer, when all of our family was home, my cousins and I attempted those strawberry pretzel dessert squares that have been floating around the internet, it was a total flop, but it did prompt a conversation about my cousin Laura's Chocolate Raspberry Cream Pie.

  • I don't want to get JALAPEÑO business, but what are you serving at your next gathering? Might I suggest these Peach Jalapeño Popper Pinwheels. The perfect sweet/savoury snack. Classic jalapeño popper flavours combined with bacon and sweet peach jam for a delicious appetizer. Add these to your next party menu. I promise no one will complain.

    Peach Jalapeño Popper Pinwheels

Craveable. Delicious. Sweet. Savoury. Snack-sized. These Peach Jalapeño Popper Pinwheels are all of those statements. My favourite, though, isn't listed and that's that they are so so easy. These little appetizers pack tons of flavour in one super-simple package. A must for your next small gathering (COVID be damned) but that's ok, a handful of people could happily demolish this treat in just a few minutes.

  • This needs no introduction, if you've been a fan of Masterchef, you'll remember the episode when a burger scored an apron. The secret ingredient? Lemon Pepper Bacon. The tangy lemon flavour along with the savoury bacon and freshly ground pepper takes this to a whole new level. Try it on a BLT it's amazing. Highly recommended, make it now!

Lemon Pepper Bacon and a BLT

When I suggested this to my husband his eyes lit up. I mean lemon pepper bacon, was the one ingredient on Noah Sim's (a Masterchef Season 10 contestant) legendary burger that Joe Bastianich couldn't get enough. So, obviously I would spend the next year thinking about that bacon before I finally gave Lemon Pepper Bacon and a BLT a try.

  • Stocked up on frozen fruit when the shelves were bare? Tired of smoothies? Any Season Fruit Salad with a Ginger Lime Dressing is hands down the best way to use up some of that frozen fruit. Jazz it up with a bright lime and ginger dressing recipe.

Any Season Fruit Salad with Ginger Lime Dressing

This is my new favourite. A last minute, throw together fruit salad. It's easy, delicious and you probably have everything already on hand. I don't tend to pay a ton of attention to what's in season. I'll add that to my ever growing list of things to do–buy in season. Really, it makes sense, but at this moment I'm just not that organized. I do shop the sales, so I am, in a sense, buying for the season. What I do have though, is a stock pile of frozen fruit ready for smoothies. On the days that I want an easy, any…

  • Zero delivery fee! Make restaurant-style Loaded Mile-High Loaded Nachos in your own kitchen. Layers upon layers of gooey, melted cheese, taco flavoured beef, fresh tomatoes, green onions, black beans, corn and a bit of spice make this craveable snack a must make! This nacho dish looks impressive, but it is actually super simple!

    Loaded Mile-High Beef Nachos

One of the best, shareable appetizers would have to be Loaded Mile-High Beef Nachos, right?! It's my choice, especially if I'm having to share a dish with anyone, plus everyone gets a generous helping. If you like gooey melty cheese pulls, tasty beef, fresh tomatoes, black beans, corn and a bit of spice, then this dish is for you. What isn't there to love? You know what's the best part though, they're super easy to make at home.

  • Just try and stop at one! Salted Cracker Candy is beyond addictive. Buttery caramel is baked into flaky saltine crackers, topped with a layer of chocolate and a generous sprinkle of sea salt, for that sweet and salty combo. It's only four ingredients that you probably already have, but heed my warning, this never lasts long.

    Salted Cracker Candy

After dinner, do you crave something sweet? Ever find that there are only ingredients in your cupboards and zero actual ready-to-eat snacks lying around? Unless you count chocolate chips as a treat. Salted Cracker Candy is ALWAYS my go-to in a pinch. It's super easy and it is beyond good. Four ingredients to dessert dreamland.

  • Hands up if your McDonald's nugget order includes hot mustard! While not exactly the same, this Hot Mustard Sauce is an extraordinary substitute for the real deal in a pinch. Easy to make and fantastic as a dip, sauce and spread on anything your mustard-loving heart desires.

Hot Mustard Sauce (McDonald’s Almost Copycat)

I'm a HUGE fan of McDonald's Hot Mustard Sauce. It's my top choice, if they don't have hot mustard, I will switch my entire order for something that doesn't require dipping. I have been really lucky out here, though, most of the time it's available, I do cross my fingers when I order because that well could run dry any day. So, to avoid the mustard sauce draught, I decided to come up with my own version. This way when I open that takeout bag and the mustard is missing, I'm already covered!
